SAYING ‘I DO’
Want a quick 15 minute ceremony? Want it a bit longer? Would you like a family member or friend to do a reading? Josh will customise your ceremony to however you would like it.
THE LEGAL PART
You will need to fill out a form called the ‘Notice Of Intent To Marry’. This form needs to be filled out and returned to Josh at least one month and one day prior to your wedding date.
Josh recommends getting this paperwork sorted as early as possible so it is done and out of the way. He will be in contact at the start of the year you are married (if you have booked your wedding the same year you are getting married he will be in touch) so he can organise a meeting to help you fill out this paperwork. Everything else he will sort out for you so you don’t have to worry about anything.
ALL ABOUT YOU
Around a month prior to your wedding Josh will email to ask you both a series of questions to fill out about each other. These questions will help him to write your ceremony. Remember – what you write could very well end up in your ceremony and said in front of everyone!
The longer and more detailed your answers the more Josh has to write about. Take the time to fill these questions out when you have no distractions. Your future spouse will love that you have taken that time to put in the effort to think about them.
UNPLUGGED
You would have heard about unplugged weddings? It’s where the celebrant asks the guests to put phones and cameras away so they can really be present and focus on every little detail of the ceremony. This is totally up to you. Some people love that Granny is proud as punch of the photos she took. It’s a personal choice and totally up to you, just let Josh know if you would like an unplugged wedding so he can let your guests know.
NERVY GROOM?
Don’t stress. Pretty much all grooms get nervous standing in front of everyone while waiting for their beautiful bride to arrive. Josh is the master of chilling grooms out, he will talk with you and keep you distracted right up until it is time to see your future wife walking towards you.

THINGS THAT MAKE FOR GOOD PHOTOS
Confetti – you can get biodegradable floral confetti
Emotion – don’t hold back those tears
Groomsmen smoking cigars
Sparkler exit or while having first dance – just make sure you get the long ones!
Stopping at a bar (Lola’s is great) on the way back from your location photos
Asking your DJ to use white lights during your first dance
A well-lit reception. Festoon lighting is the best!
Father/daughter reveal
LAUGH IT OFF
Your wedding day is a celebration! Laugh, smile and have the best day ever. Don’t stress the small things – it will show in your photos. Instead just laugh it off and keep on enjoying your day.
BASES COVERED
Be sure to have your flowers, rings, perfume, jewellery and anything else you would like photographed on hand and ready prior to Kelly arriving to bridal prep. If you aren’t fussed on photos of these items then don’t worry.
For groom prep Kelly will ask the guys to have their shirts and pants on prior to her arriving, this is pretty important as if we are running late during groom prep this then flows onto bridal prep. They can take them off once she leaves.
RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT TIME
Kelly will be in touch at the start of the year to talk timelines with you. If you need to lock in times for anything prior to this time then please just email and tell her this. The best time of the day for taking photos is the hour before sunset (which is 6:30pm in the dry season) so we try to plan the day around this so you can get themost amazing wedding photos.

FAMILY PHOTOS
Family photos happen straight after your ceremony. Let’s try to keep your wedding timeline on track, here are some tips to help us stay on schedule:
– Write a list of the family photos you would like then send it to Kelly prior to your wedding day
-Tell all of the people on this list that they need to hang around after the ceremony
-Pick a person who can yell loud and who knows everyone so this person can call out who is next in the photo
-The family photos are traditionally formal, but this is a celebration, have fun and be silly!

PLANNING YOUR TIMELINE
This is what couples tell us is the hardest thing to do when it comes to planning their wedding day. Every wedding is different so Kelly will be in touch at the start of the year you are getting married so she can go over your timeline with you.
Some things to think about are your ceremony time, where you would like your bridal party photos, if you would like groom and bride prep photos (or just the one), how many locations you would like to go to for your bridal party photos (just one spot or maybe a couple) and where you will be getting ready if having groom or bride prep photographed. These things will help Kelly plan your timeline for you.
Things that are most important to her arethat you have the perfect lighting for your bridal party photos (the sun positioning can make or break a photo) and that your hair and makeup are running on time, if they are late it can lead to running out of time to photograph you getting into your dress and photos with your bridesmaids in their dresses.
If you need to put a ceremony time on your invites and we haven’t spoken about your timeline yet then just email Kelly and she will be happy to help out.
