Three six nine, the goose drank wine.
The monkey chew tobacco on the street car line.
The line broke, the monkey got choked
and they all went to heaven in a little rowboat.
Clap Pat Clap Pat Clap Pat Slap! Clap Pat!
Clap your hand, Pat it on your partner's hand . . . Right Hand.
Clap Pat Clap your hand. Cross it with your left arm.
Pat you partner's left palm.
Clap Pat, Clap your hand, Pat your partner's right palm
with your right palm again.
Clap Slap, Clap your hand, Slap your thighs and sing a little song.

My mother told me, If I was goody.
that she would buy me a rubber dolly.
My Aunty told her I kissed a soldier,
now she won't buy me a rubber dolly.
(Spoken) Three six nine, the goose drank wine.
The monkey chew tobacco on the street car line.
The line broke, the monkey got choked
and they all went to heaven in a little rowboat.

Clap Clap (Clap your hands and prepare to pat)
Pat (Take your right arm Put your partner's right palm with your right palm)
Clap (Take your hand back and clap)
Pat (Take your right arm, cross your right arm with your left arm. Pat
your partner's left palm with your left palm.)

Clap(Take your hand back and Clap)
Pat (Take your right arm, cross your left arm Pat your partner's right
palm with your right palm.)
Clap(Now back, with a clap)
Slap (Take the pats of your palms and slap your thighs and watch the
fun materialize as you sing this little song. . .

My mother told me, If I was goody.
that she would buy me a rubber dolly.
My Aunty told her I kissed a soldier,
now she won't buy me a rubber dolly.
Clap Pat Clap Pat Clap Pat Clap Slap!

I think this song is about Aaron's Aunt Patty getting an STD from a monkey. I think this shows some real maturity creeping into Aaron's songwriting, he uses some great imagery, and that thing about the goose is really subtle, very reminescent of Donne. Great use of onomatopoic expressions to convey the speaker's state-of-mind. The thing about the rowboat was just excessive hyperbole though, showing that Aaron still has a bit of a way to develop before he can achieve the literary profundity of such virtuosos of the ENglish language as, say, The Cheeky Girls.

Siberian Kiss Glassjaw its amazing how far music can come.. 24 years after it released and its one of the most heartfelt songs ive heard when rules change Life in Your Way High life Fast Car Tracy Chapman "Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.
